Of course Im against Mizzou to the SEC IF it means WVU gets the shaft.
That's understandable. I think WVU would do well in the SEC. I would love to see WVU and Virginia Tech round out the 16. There's a silent war going on with all the conference. Major change has come and all the players are scrambling to put themselves in the best position for the foreseeable future.

I honestly just can not see VT ever leaving the ACC unless VA goes too. There is too much tied between the Universites. They "share" learning centers etc now.

Yeah, I think so too. Still, it would make for a great addition to the East.

Im starting to think that FSU is becoming more of a viable option to the SEC... Im thinking now if it is 16, then FSU, WVU, and Mizzou to SEC (if Mizzou didnt shoot themselves in the foot with their words of wanting to be in the B1G but the SEC was the "only thing available").

I dunno, I'm sort of the opinion if it were going to happen it would have already happened. They sort of missed the boat when they had the chance to join. Also, people like to talk about their national exposure, and that being their biggest benefit, last I checked LSU, BAMA, AU, FLA are bigger names. I guess, what intrigues me, Fla St. has reached their potential. They can be good, but not as great as they were in the early 90's. I like the idea of giving programs that are good with a lot less a chance. Let the SEC build them up. Fla St. has had way more advantages than the teams were discussing, and what have they really done with it in the last 10 years?

I wouldn't put much stock in that, there's no telling the context and how that was spun. An official with Missouri said it? Hell, to advance their agenda ESPN could start citing groundskeepers at Mizzou as officials.

Reports also that Texas has conceded on high school atheletics not being shown on the LHN
They had no choice. It was an NCAA violation.

Actually, it wasn't because the network is operated by ESPN. But the Big XII schools claimed it gave them unfair recruiting.

Actually,
It was rule it would be a violation if Texas was part of the deal.
And there has been no games HS game shown so no violation.

That's what so appealing about the SEC. Most every school brings something to the equation, and there's not much "dead weight."
Well, other than the swirling vortex of suck sitting between Louisiana and Alabama.

sort of, not really though.

So instead they traded the HS stuff for the ability to show 3 games now a season instead of 1 or 2.More than likely ESPN and UT won that round.
