bring on A&M. They wanted out anyway. I want em in the SEC. Keep it at 13 for now and wait for someone from the East.
ETA - OR If Oklahoma's demands aren't met, I could see OU, OK St, Mizzou, joining A&M in the SEC at 16.

TAMU just needs to go to the SEC, let the rest of the Big 12 stay together for ANOTHER year. We all know we'll be having this talk next summer..... AGAIN.

The SEC doesn't need a&m. a&m being left outside in the cold would be epic aggie fail, to be mocked for all eternity.

I don't want to mock them or call them failures. I just don't want them in the conference. We have a good frickin dynamic going right now. I don't know why people don't see that.

I agree to a point. Unfortunately, expansion of some kind seems inevitable. In the SEC's case, I just want it limited to 2 extra teams (14 overall) with one going to the West and one going to the SEC East. This protects that good dynamic you mention while simply replacing 1 of the 4 non-conference games with 1 extra conference game against the new team in your division. In other words, LSU replaces Northwestern State with Texas A&M while Alabama replaces North Texas with Texas A&M, and so on, and so on...
I badly want Virginia Tech as the SEC East addition but they seems less and less of a possibility with this past weekend's events. I say either add Missouri to the SEC East or add West Virginia to the SEC East. If it's Mizzou to the SEC East have Arkansas as their permanent. If it's West Virginia, have Texas A&M as their permanent or LSU if it appease the LSU fans who constantly bitch about having to play Florida as their permanent opponent. Everybody wins.

I just don't see Mizzou being a good fit; that seems more like B1G territory. TAMU I think would be an excellent fit. Even if the Big-12-2-1 stays together TAMU will be out recruiting OkSt, OU, TTech within the first two years and out recruiting UT within three to four years if not sooner. If Slive is smart we'll start alternating the SEC Championship Game between Atlanta and Jerry World to give our top teams even more exposure in Texas thus funneling even more of their recruits our way. When it's all said and done, TAMU coming to the SEC benefits 1)TAMU 2)LSU 3)Rest of the SEC at the expense of OkSt, TTEch, OU and UT.
