If the following are true:
OU has to stick with OSU
The SEC will not take OSU
Then end of story.
The Big 10 won't take either because of academic issues. The Pac would, but only with Texas.
They really are screwed, regardless of football power.

If it were up to me, I'd be willing to take Mizzou and OU/OSU as a package.
It all comes down to necessity. If everyone eventually moves to 16, it's best to have struck early than to have to choose from table scraps.
Given this, it could be seen as incredibly short-sighted for the SEC to turn down OU due to OSU.
Due to the way the layers of this onion seem to be positioned, I can see OU being peeled off before Texas does, so I can see Texas going to the Pac alone when it's all said and done.

West-East
LSU-UF
OU-Bama
Ark-Tenn
A&M-AU
OSU-UGA
MSU-USC
OM-Vandy
Missouri-Kentucky
edit: I guess with 16 teams you throw permanent West-East match-ups out...

I could live with watching this every year.

Regardless if Mizzou stays or goes, the conference is not breaking up.
Trying to keep the Big12 together is like polishing a turd. No matter how hard you work at it you still have a piece of shite.
