The more I look at that SEC map with missou, the more I don't like it. I think we either add FSU, which be a homerun, or really a grand slam. If not FSU or a NC school of some type if that fails then add another texas school. Rice would be great if you ask me. No thier selling point would not be football but academics and they good at non money making sports. Plus, you just head down I-10 and you get their to houston and college station for alot of sec west fans. Easier to travel too and major strong hold in texas in a major media market. JMO

I don't think Florida is going to go for FSU being closer to SEC country than Florida is and a former National Power.

However, the SEC could overturn them 12-1.

I honestly think you Take Missouri and those Markets become SEC in St. Louis and Kansas City. South Florida isn't the south anyway and is completely diluted market with a large SEC presence.

WW2 pretty much wiped us out as a competitive program. The lack of women and anti military feelings during the 60s kicked us in the nuts as well.

Just how much better do you really think our history should be?

I don't buy the WW2 argument for the 1960's on.

Given your resources, money, Alumni population and AMAZING talent pool 45mins from your college.. at least 40% better.

Auburn or LSU shouldn't be above you, ever, but they are.

Tap the brakes there, buddy. Louisiana is usually neck and neck with Mississippi for "most div.1 prospects per capita" every year.

Add in our large fanbases in south Mississippi and east Texas, and LSU will never lack for talent. As long as we have a coaching staff that can reel it in.

The proof is in the pudding.

Correct, therefore TAMU should always be as good as LSU or Auburn never underneath them.

Back to another reason TAMU is underachievers.

Arkansas 40-24-3 over TAMU.. TAMU's Advantages >>>> Arkansas yet completely lopsided series.

Proof is in the pudding.. D-1 Recruits last year.. 350 Texas 80 Louisiana

The team that will benefit the most is Arkansas, because Arkansas, when they were fighting for national championships, the majority of their players came out of Texas. … Now, you open the door for Mississippi, Mississippi State and Arkansas. - Jackie Sherrill (Former Aggie and MSU Head Coach)

Side Note: Did you know he never won a game in the state of Arkansas his entire career at both schools?

Former head coach and former athletic director at Arkansas Frank Broyles: "I’ve said for the last 10 years I would crawl to Texas to get you all in the SEC. ... We benefit more than anybody with (Texas A&M) coming to the SEC." - Frank Bryoles

I don't think we had to do much crawling to get TAMU over here.

More recruits sign D-1 Scholarships from Arkansas than Missouri.

There is more in Missouri this year. 5* 4*, 3*. Check out rivals state rankings. It doesn't really matter how many 2*'s sign with Arkansas State.

That means nothing to me. There are more NFL players from Arkansas than Missouri.

There are more starters from Arkansas playing for Arkansas than starters from Mizzou playing for Mizzou.

Arkansas has more starters than even Tennessee.

Championship game should alternate between New Orleans and Atlanta after expansion.

Then you don't know what the eff you are talking about. D1 recruits, if they are marginal non ranked kids or not highly recruited.....

Now if you say Missouri doesn't have a great recruiting base and doesnt get the best kids in state, I totally agree..

Athens, GA has 5 teams under 360 Miles also so they are literally about the same.

This is a great win for Arkansas if we add another team as far north as kentucky and just as far away from the Texas talent.

Oxford has LSU, MSU, Alabama, Auburn, Vandy, and Georgia within that distance.

I don't think that map proves that southerners are "dumb". It proves that most white southerners probably still trace their heritage back to near the founding of this country, and so aren't hung up on some old world definition.

Its mostly Scots-Irish and English, with some Native American and other ethnicities. Enough mixing up that you can't say definitively "I'm German" or "I'm English". I do have some German in me, but there were a lot of German immigrants in North Ark.

I think we'd be a lot better off as a country if more people consider themselves to be "American" above all else.

I wish the LSU vs Arkansas games would be moved to Fayetteville since I'm only an hour away.
