They are saying that both Chip Brown and Joe Schad from ESPN are reporting that Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are going to the Pac-10 on Tuesday.

That leaves them with an odd number... Kansas, Mizzou, or Utah as the 16th team?

I would assume Utah is asked. Missouri would be hilarious though. They could play Texas and then Oregon on consecutive weeks. What a nightmare for their athletic department and budget.

If you listen closely, you can hear Baylor boosters running around like mad.

If no A&M for the Pac16, I could see a Kansas fit, esp basketball

The Baylor boosters better work on getting Cal to stop blackballing them than trying to lobby Texas politicians to force their way in.

Softy is pretty funny. I could see how WSU fans would hate him, but I bet most Oregon fans find him entertaining due to his blatant hatred of all things Oregon.
they do.......I always listened to him when I used to live in Tacoma. I catch him on the live broadcast on comcast from time to time (mostly during football season now).

That's what it sounds like. I'm not sure who they would pick.

Utah would bring a really big market which they control regarding collegiate athletics and in the end that is what this deal is about.

utah definately...........tv market and utah brings in a lot in terms of basketball and football. Kansas will only bring a top notch basketball team.

Sounds good to me. Let the aggies go to the SEC. That is if the SEC sees value in "getting" the 5th best team in the old Big XII South.
But at least they have great looking cheerleaders!

As A&M's song says, "goodbye to Texas university".

Rumor is the move will be effective in 2011.

Just heard on ESPN that Texas A&M is looking at the SEC.

There is obvious value in it. It's one of the top four athletic budgets in the Big 12 that would be the 8th best in the SEC. Sounds like continued strength for us.
Not to mention increase exposure for the conference in Texas.
Sounds like a great move for the SEC.
