Arkansas has played OU in football 12 times in history.

9 of those were prior to 1927.

We have played OU 3 times in bowl games since 1978.

There is absolutely zero history with Arkansas and OU.

Arky has no natural rival in the SEC this would at least on paper turn Arky vs OU into an annual rivalry. Same for LSU and A&M, except they have a history already.

Who's to say that if we do this, for the "next 7-8 years" or OU and A&M games aren't just as epic?

For LSU, more than other schools, rivalries are probably at the bottom of our list of worries.

agreed. I think most AU fans want to head back east anyway and rejuvenate their rivalries with UF and UT.

The Auburn rivalry isn't near as important to me as the Bama rivalry. A&M adequately replaces Auburn in my mind, but OU wouldn't replace Bama. And I don't want Vandy in the West. Playing them every year would suck.

What's at the top besides everyone's worry that adding the wrong school(s) would ultimately hurt the conference?
