IF WV comes, they will have to wait 27 months right?

BIG East bylaws have schools to submit 27 months in advance before leaving right?

I'm sure there are ways around it. If the BE falls apart for instance. Which if we leave, it's done. Some ADs want Pitt and Cuse out now

That seems what everyone was saying about Pitt/Syracuse. What is it about 27 months? Does that just mean you have to play two full calendar years after announcing an exit? That would be fine in football, but would make for a weird basketball and baseball season.

If the remaining schools are smart they will hold Syracuse and Pitt to it until they find replacements. If WVU tries to leave, praying they aren't allowed anywhere near the SEC, then I would hope the remaining 5 would enforce it until they can find 2 suitable replacements (assuming TCU still goes). Why would those Big East teams give up a BCS bid and money?

The big east has a back out clause. When two or more teams vote to leave at the same time (Pitt and Syracuse) then basically a vote of no confidence or disbanding can be requested and said schools who vote to disband are not held to the buyout or 27 month commitment.
Rumor is the sec and WVU knew of the Pitt, Syracuse defection and is why this was put off until after the A&M to the sec was official (still think you guys would have voted missouri first). Now the SEC can have WVU next year, without a buyout, and without a 27 month wait.
Remeber, these talks where first reported WEEKS ago.

Well if y'all are coming, welcome to the SEC. There will be lots of venues glad to welcome the Mountaineers and their fans on game day. And if y'all are coming, come on over now. Would hate to have to wait that 27 months or whatever for the process to be complete. It will be great to have home and home night games b-tween Morgantown and Baton Rouge. They could be pretty wicked.
