But that being included in the piece obviously means he was given some sort of indication that it's on the table. It's not like he had to include everything the official said in the article.

Those options would apparently include remaining in the ACC or moving to the SEC if enough conference dominoes tumble

WAS WRITTEN BY THE AUTHOR, NOT A QUOTE FROM AN FSU OFFICIAL

This is the equivalent of SEC officials saying "We are happy with our 12 current members and have no intention on seeking to expand the conference at this time." We know how that turned out.

You don't know FSU's feelings towards the ACC expansion. Maybe they feel their input wasn't taken. Maybe they felt ignored. Maybe they don't want to be in a 16 team conference with only 2 other good football teams. You're making just as many assumptions as everyone else, but pretending like you're on factual ground.

At this point I'm willing to believe anything is possible unless expressly stated by someone in power. If Barron comes out and says "FSU is not leaving the ACC at any point in the near future," then I'll believe they aren't leaving. Likewise if Slive comes out and says "The SEC will not accept an application from FSU or any other ACC school," then I'll accept it has truth. But these cryptic political sentences are vague for a reason. They're keeping their options open.

the opposite argument to mine, at least on this board, is that this committee is a clear sign FSU is looking to move.

i am simply saying that assuming that much is a massive jump to conclusions, as this committee could easily be held even if FSU had no desire what so ever to leave the ACC.

My belief that FSU will not leave the ACC for the SEC is based in a lot of other factors, which have been named previously. This committee provides no reasons to dissuade me.

With all due respect, FSU is not the "dean" of the ACC as you imply, UNC is.

im not saying they are, i am however saying it looks like FSU is trying to make themselves into the "texas" of the acc.

certainly in football, they are a giant in a midget patch.

I'm not saying it's definite by any means. I'm just saying it's on the table, and if the SEC is only looking to go to 14, I don't think they take WVU over FSU.
