In a way, Dr. Drunk and the reactions towards him by this board exemplifies what is now happening all over the country.
Their rhetoric, lies, and spin is clear to everyone all over the country now. Their relationship with ESPN has really tarnished their image the most I think.
As for the topic of this thread, I think it is very clear that Texas needs A&M. They have spent so long trying to put down Texas A&M, yet they obsess about us. You read their message boards (pre-expansion) and all of their forums are littered about A&M.
Stu is very correct. Its almost like a dogma right now amongst that fanbase. They all say the same things and are on the same page. They are oblivious to their national image. I think OU threatening to leave is really shaking things up for them. I also really think many of them are very nervous about A&M going to the SEC (mostly the older fans who remember the 80s and 90s) and the rest are just ignorant.
Either way, I see things crumbling for them and having a very harsh crash back to reality.
