Did you watch the men's NCAA tourney this year? SEC did well. As far as women's bb, I think UT will have a little something to say about that.

edit: We don't have divisions anymore

Arkansas fans, with the departure or Pelphrey, have just as much if not more reason to say "We will dominate the West blah blah blah".

You do understand the SEC West has a historical Top 15 basketball program? How many Sweet 16's do you have? Elite 8? Final 4? NC or NC appearances? We have more banners hanging from our rafters than you will obtain in the next 100 years.

'Dude', it's the SEC. Please come over here thinking you will dominate something.

Cool story bro. Those banners are accumulating dust. I'm not arguing history you idiot. I'm saying that A&M will be a contender every year in SEC basketball. Its not the same competing against LSU, MSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas than Texas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Mizzou, and Kansas State.

Woopiginaustin,

Stop trying to slap common sense into this probie. I held class yesterday and I'm glad you've picked up the lecture today.

A&M might have the longest consecutive NCAA tournament appearance streak in the SEC upon joining. Hard to say they wouldn't be a contender when the Big XII has recently been a superior basketball conference top to bottom.

One NC with this group

So... I don't see your point of competing for championships

It sure didn't help the Big12 win hardly any titles compared to the SEC.

I'm for A&M coming, but you guys will be 6th/7th at best. Our schools are great at other sports as well, they just get overshadowed by football. We're the #1 baseball conference, IMO. And as bad as we may seem in basketball... we had two teams in the final four. There's not one sport you will come in and dominate. With that said, can't wait until you guys get here.

I guess I should have clarified. I know that SEC schools are good at other sports, but Im talking about athletic program overall. In that regard, A&M is probably top 3 as it currently stands in the SEC. A&M was far and way the best athletic program in the big12 last year. I believe we had every single one of our athletic teams was ranked last season sans maybe volleyball.

Tap the brakes..... I'll let LSU and Florida speak for themselves but they bring an incredible amount of balance. As for Arkansas, in football A&M has been our bitch for 100+ years and that isn't changing. As for T&F, go find yourself 40 more NC's, 5 Triple Crowns and so many Conference Titles that you have to rent storage space for the hardware. Lets not compare Basketball resumes either. Oh, and welcome to the toughest baseball conference in the land.

I dont believe anyone was talking about historical resumes. In the current world, you know the one that matters, A&M is a much better athletic program and than Arkansas. Dont even try coming with T&F smack. We just set a national record for threepeat national championships on mens and womens you fricking goob.
Basketball, we just beat your arse least year and you haven't even been to the tourney since 2008. Meanwhile, we are on our way to our 7th straight NCAA tournament in a much better basketball conference. Oh yea, speaking of baseball, how was the CWS last year. Oh yea, thats right, your team was at home.

Because A&M has been fairly consistent in the Big 12, a superior basketball conference when compared to the SEC. We play tougher opponents. We are recruiting well and people actually like basketball in Aggieland. Seems that nobody really cares in the SEC.
