I'm guessing he was being sarcastic. I saw several LSU fans tailgating/at the bars, I assume some stopped by on the way from Dallas to Louisiana. Pre game atmosphere was solid, game atmosphere was typical for a non con/mediocre opponent. Not even close to as loud as it will be for OSU and the whorns.

I did some tailgating out by reed arena next to the softball stadium then near the grove like area where what seemed to be more students and greek types. everyone was really hospitable. tried to get us tickets to the game but they were tough to get.

And SMU people were fricking cocksuckers to everyone in sight.

Glad you enjoyed it, our fans will be hospitable to pretty much everyone unless you give us a reason not to be. I didn't see any SMU fans acting up, but it's not surprising. Hopefully more will visit and change their mind about the gameday atmosphere.

Only ran into 3 SMU fans. I was holding my video camera and they asked why I would bring a camera to a game we were going to lose. I told them I was going to document their destruction. Then let 'em know where they could buy tickets. No reason to be an arse unless the person needs the treatment.

everyone seemed so pumped about joining the SEC everyone said they were cheering hard for LSU and that they think they will struggle the first couple years in the league.
