Mizzou has never been to a final 4 and just hired a coach that was .500 in the ACC over 8 years and made the tourney once
WV has Bob Huggins and more recent success, so it's not really that close IMO

I actually think the B12 upgraded with both schools.

If you look at WVU, they didn't rise up until VaTech and Miami left the Big East

fricking fool WVU has been a better program than VT historically and there is no way around it, i guess a national championship game appearance in the 80's was after VT left

TAMU seems to be headed in a better direction from their recent hibernation, while Mizzou seems to be headed in the opposite direction after a few good years with Daniels and so so years with Gabbert
Mizzou have a inexperienced soph qb and injuries. They'll be waaaay better next year. Hell they are putting up points with Soph qb James Franklin starting for the first time this season. Franklin have a lot of learning to do in regards to reading defenses, IMO he's the reason they lost to K-State and they hung in there with OU. Nobody expected Mizzou to compete for the Big 12.

Mizzou mens basketball have a tournament title in 2009
Hell they own Oklahoma State in Basketball, overall record 75-38....
Btw they do have a GOOD basketball history, check out the stats.
Looks like they lead Oklahoma State in football 28-21 all time record.
You dog Mizzou but it seems like you guys have a hard time beating them
Mizzou sucks in football though

that same strong conference replaced them with a team from the Mountain West and a team from a depleted Big East...those two new teams will play as hard of a schedule as ever, and it will show in the win/loss column.
Didn't West Virgina beat both UGA and OU in fairly recent BCS bowls?

I think WVU will do pretty well in the Big12. WVU has always recruited the state of FL well, going there for speed. Plus they are next door to PA and OH which are loaded with good recruits and WVU has recruited pretty well there. Now add TX to their recruiting grounds.

TCU wins the Rose Bowl, finishes second only behind Auburn (who was only there because of Cam Newton, who may or may not have been an amateur athlete), graduates their largest senior class ever and second largest in the nation including 5 NFL draft picks (not including an All-American safety who withdrew from the draft to enter the ministry)... then loses their first game the next year without all those players to a senior-laden Baylor team with a Heisman contender QB who played the game of his life, and all of a sudden, in some of your minds, TCU is destined to be the level that Baylor has been recently (i.e. no bowl game appearances in 15 years and no bowl wins in almost 2 decades).
Some of you folks should stick to the rant.

TCU on the other hand could be anything between Baylor, and those programs. The schedule adjustment will be interesting. Look at Utah in the Pac this year.
Somebody get the jump to conclusions mat.
Utah losing in the PAC, when TCU has been throttling them in recent years, allows you to predict that TCU won't do well in the Big 12? TCU is 8-9 against Big 12 teams, and that includes the late 90s when TCU was shite and the fact that OU, UT, and TTech have ducked games they expected to lose or be close by buying their way out of contracts and have refused to play in Fort Worth, which of course took some Ws out of that win column. However, if we're ever on their schedule with a new QB or right after losing a bunch of seniors or both, they will happily keep their commitment to play us (in their house, of course) like UT did in 2007 when Andy Dalton was making his first start as a freshman.
