After Tuesday, here's what we probably have left of the Big 12:

Baylor
Iowa State
Kansas
Kansas State
Missouri

If the Big 12 expands primarily west:

Big 12 East
Baylor
Houston
Iowa State
Missouri
Texas Christian
Tulsa

Big 12 West
Air Force
Boise State
Brigham Young
Kansas
Kansas State
Utah

If they do this, they'll keep the auto-bid and championship game.

That is one shitty conference! No way they keep their automatic bid for long!

That may be a shittier conference than the Big East even with more teams. No conference with a service academy should ever have an automatic BCS bid.

I beg your pardon.

I may be biased but this is horseshite. While Army is downright horrible, Navy and AF have fielded some pretty impressive teams in recent history that have hung pretty well with some decent Div 1 programs.

You are making 2 big assumptions here:

1. Boise just bolted for the MWC, so under this scenario the MWC would join forces (pardon pun) with Big 12 remnants smoothly.

2. Utah in this mix only happens if A&M goes to the PAC-whatever. Otherwise, Utah is in PAC-whatever.

Past four years:

Houston 36-18 (.667)
TCU 42-10 (.808)
Tulsa 34-19 (.642)
Air Force 29-22 (.569)
BSU 49-4 (.926)
BYU 43-9 (.827)
Utah 40-12 (.769)

There's not a single bad football program in there. You've been pwn3d. Sit down and shut up.

FWIW, the Big Ten, ACC, current Big 12, and Pac-10 are all worse than the Big East.

Wouldn't they lose their conference status with the NCAA if they have less than 6 "long time" members?

Hmm. Interesting question. Do you have a link to a rule of which I'm unaware?

Since 2007, Air Force hasn't beaten a BCS team. AF wouldn't be anywhere close to 8-5 if they were playing in the current Big 12. I'm sorry.

I agree that these are pretty good teams but I don't think they are automatic bid worthy. I like WVU, Pitt, BC, Louisville, and Cincy of the Big East more and a lot of people say that they aren't even automatic bid worthy.

Only once since 2005 has the Big East not been one of the top 3 conferences. The Big East bashing is completely stupid. (not directed at you, but America)

I'm thinking maybe only 2 got scheduled. Their most notable victory was Houston but they did destroy Nicholls State.

Didn't AF beat Cal in the Armed Forces Bowl a few years ago?
