Tech just needs to understand they are not LSU and never will be when it comes to sports and they better get in where they fit in because that WAC is done without Boise.
So your logic is that Tech should stop aspiring to be better in athletics and be content to suck because they'll never be any good. Wonderful.

No, I don't live in a hole. I'm just calling it the way I see it. I would rather not see other SEC teams get the better Louisiana talent but if I was a kid getting recruited and LSU did not make me an offer, I would go to Mississippi State or Arkansas or any other BCS school over La Tech. High school games in Texas draw more fans than La Tech does to home games.

If so, then these high school games also draw more fans than the CUSA schools Tulane, SMU, RIce, and UAB.

Well I am not sure how that helps LSU. Again quality college atheletics help the high school sport state wide
I can't help but notice that Auburn and Bama don't nearly get upset at Troy trying to make themselves better but rather see it as a point of pride in their State. Again I see this whole dynmaic of worrying what Tech or ULL is doing and vice versa as a deeper problem that is Louisiana based. All pretty sad and I guess one reason we are at the bottom of everything in the nation

What you're suggesting Louisiana Tech do is, on a smaller scale, exactly what Tulane did when it left the SEC. That program has never recovered, and in all likelihood never will. 'Knowing your place' and moving down is never the answer.

I never said that. Tech can aspire all they want to better themselves. There is nothing wrong with that.

Ask Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss how they like fighting over instate talent. They don't like it and they all suffer with just decent football and not National Championship football. One of the best things LSU has going for them is they are Louisiana football and in a state full of great football talent that they don't have to share the top recruits with another instate school!

Yes, I am saying that. It is not uncommon for teams in the Dallas area to draw 40,000 or more fans to a high school football game. Big rival games have always been moved to the old Texas Stadium. Tulane, doubt they even have a football program in a few years.
