Your first link failed (See Above) yet you came at me with THAT picture...

Aren't you in college? Is that the best you can do?

If Mizzou were to join, I could see them and Arky in a late-season rivalry game, leaving us and A&M to re-start our rivalry too.

I live in Fayetteville and I don't see the rival thing at all. I have tons of arky friends that don't give two shits about lsu. Most don't even know where the frick BR is. They would love to play Texas but I think a&m might work out.

Arkansas Series vs Mizzou 5 games.
LSU Series vs Mizzou 1 game.

Arkansas Series vs TAMU 66 games.
Arkansas Series vs LSU 55 games.

LSU Series vs TAMU 49 games.

Im going to agree with the Hog Fans. Im an ole Time Tiger fan or at least relatively older since I graduated from LSU in 1983. The Ark-LSU game always seems to have something big riding on it. I know and remember well when Saban was here and jumped into that prevent defense and Matt Jones brought you guys down the field and scored to knock us out of the SEC championship game and then other big games. To me its a rivalry, Im obviously in the minority, but I always enjoy the game win or lose and consider it a rivalry game.

I personally think of LSU as our main rival, but there are a lot of Arkansas fans who don't.

I think it grows a little each year, but there are still Arkansas fans who kind of like LSU except when we are playing them.

Three or four more years of nailbiter games with post-season implications and I think it will definitely be a rivalry.

As long as Petrino is here I think it will only get more heated.

You know me? And no I'm not 50. A rival is someone you hate, I just don't see that. Most arky fans in the nwa area just don't give a shite about lsu.

Fighting on a message board does not make you rivals!

Since Arkansas got the right coach this is a different Arkansas program.

put it like this, until we win a few SEC championships and a National Championship or two then LSU will continue to not give a crap.

So, when we loose to Bama in a few weeks we will be back to being little ole Arkeysaw. Which I have been a fan of all my life. Can we do something like an undefeated season that happened in 1964? We certainly have the right coach to make that happen but it could be impossible even for a coach like Bobby Petrino.

Agreed, with Petrino being there and Arkansas being a consistent top 15 program and better each year, I do believe the rivalry will grow amongst the fans.

There is a minority who do hate LSU. I am one of those people but it has been helped along by personal connections.

I've still never seen hate towards an SEC opponent like I did when Texas came to town in 2004. That's kind of sad, and I think its falling off more and more. I think we've reached a turning point where we are finally dropping a lot of the old hatreds and focusing finally on the SEC completely. Part of it is just time, and having a fanbase that is made up of more people who grew up watching us in the SEC than in the SWC.

Based on our own experience, I believe that even if A&M doesn't play Texas every year starting out, they will definitely always hate Texas way more than anybody else on their schedule.

We've played Texas what, 4 times in the last 20 years? In 2004, the hate was still there, alive and well.

I'll totally disagree with you for I went to college at Fayetteville and my brother still lives there.

Not to mention the explosion of Texas kids into Arkansas, as students, the Texas hate is literally dying fast.

If you are 50 years or older you still hate Texas but forgot so much about the SWC while replacing the love of SEC games. The younger you go the less anyone cares for the old SWC teams.

You seem to forgot Little Rock is almost exactly the distance to Fayetteville as Ole Miss. You also forget El Dorado, Ark is literally closer to Baton Rouge than Arkansas and Pine Bluff is closer to Ole Miss than Arkansas.

I think the cut off for having Texas hate is about 40 and above.

Anybody below 35 who dislikes Texas inherited it from their parents.

I was 14 when we skipped the SWC, and I started school at Arkansas in 1996. I don't ever remember thinking/feeling like we didn't belong in the SEC while I was at Arkansas, even though we had only been in the league a few years.

The only Texas game I ever saw while I was in school was the 2000 Cotton Bowl where we blew them out.

I have no idea what Arkansas fans in the rest of the state think. You know nwa is a little different than the rest of the state.

You cannot have a rival when part of your fan base hopes they win, that was the case last weekend. I have never ever pulled for the cow molesters down on the plains and I never will.

I can see the big number of Texas kids in Fayetteville. I think it makes my point stronger. You think these kids like tu or hate it because they can't get into it? Not everyone from Texas loves tu.

I can agree with that. I have friends who are a little older than me and they still dislike Texas which was inherited. Anything our age and younger never got to see a full display of Texas hate.

I do however remember chanting SEC, SEC, SEC in the Arkansas student section at Texas in 2003. That whole stadium at Texas sure didn't like that very much.

This falls into the category as I grew up with the SEC not the SWC even thought I say a few Ark vs Texas game in the SWC when I was young.

When girls at Arkansas can wear a Texas shirt because they are from there times have DRASTICALLY changed.

I've seen this displayed in person and I have mixed feelings being the young generation who was in the middle of the SWC to SEC swap. Plus, how do you not hate Texas?

You do understand Texas hate has been instilled in Arkansas fans for 75 years and we lost National Championships to them among Conference titles. The entire Arkansas fan base has been in a transition phase for 20 years. Your grandpa and Dad telling you want thing yet you don't see it for yourself.

Arkansas gets into the SEC and everyone loves to Hate the Vols and that is taken away from us among not playing LSU and Ole Miss for literally a 20 year gap. The younger generations had no where to turn to thus has now changed.

Ole Miss, LSU and Arkansas have a long history together minus the 20 year gap of not playing each other. It's that gap of generations that are caught in the middle.
