No. Nothing against Rice, but I like the idea of A&M being the ONLY Texas school in the SEC. Look what that has done for the Gators. Also, I agree with other posters and do not want to see AU go east. Just add someone from the eastern footrint to get to 14 and move on.

How is bringing in a school that has 5k students and draws 20k per game a good idea?

To get a good foothold in the Houston market, you don't have to have Rice or UH.

I already stated why I thought it was a good idea. Also, as someone else pointed out, it isn't just about football. Just 95%.

I don't like it. Very small school, hardly any following, and and do not bring much to the table athletically. Not to mention we really ought to add a team in the East. If we're going to bring up a CUSA school I think ECU or UCF would be better options.

Which would make the SEC East that much crappier compared to the SEC West. There is already an unfair balance, I'm trying to make it even with Rice.

Well I brought RICE not long ago and was laugh at. I think it would work if we were going to 16 teams. See, I think the SEC is trying up their academics along with making some money. I think their is a ACC school wanting in the SEC but who knows it could be and will the politics play out to let it happen.... JMO
