Just watched an espn report that...

Oklahoma was the only school out of the nine that would wave their right to sue.

The others are willing to wave their right if Oklahoma commits to the conference.

The longer this goes on, the more and more obvious it is that the Big-12 is completely bat-shite dysfunctional and doomed to implode. Every team in that conference that can bail, should bail.

The Big-12 will collapse no matter what Baylor does, and Baylor's behavior in this is going to make a lot of conferences very wary of adding Baylor. They might end up an independent.

Jeez, this situation just gets more maddening by the moment, its like banging your head against a wall. Would Oklahoma accept staying in a weakened Big 12?

Exactly, and if they were somehow to cough this one up, would be worse than all their BCS bowl looses put together and then some.

baylor needs to just grow up, man up and take this one on the chin. Ann richards isnt here to save them this time. They all knew what this would boil down to before yesterday they had time to try to make themselves look better and talk around. It's not our fault they only have 18 wins in 16 years of Big XII conference play. Once they quit making excuses for themselves and taking action to improve themselves this would have never been an issue

Yep, instead they choose to ignore their on the field woes for so many years and not improve their facilities, salaries for coaches etc. They should be concentrated on other important matters than trying to hold up another school wanting out of the Big 12.

Exactly, and this move is proving that sentiment to the umpteenth degree. They better get use to playing teams like UCF, Memphis, UAB in Conference USA real soon...

Baylor is just worried about losing BCS conference status. Someone will make a deal with them, pay them off and allow them to be happy in CUSA.

You forget that these are Texas schools, which all have an inflated opinion of their own value. It will make such negotiations exceedingly difficult.

Big 12 = Titanic with no lifeboat left for Baylor.

They 'might' be able to win the CUSA. Baylor does need to realize who they are and where they stand in the world of college football. The ONLY time Baylor will ever play a game in the glorious Superdome will be when they play Tulane.

Baylor, you've been sucking on the tit long enough. Time to grow up and move on.
