Report saying that A&M provides better ratings than UT...UT isn't the belle of the ball it thinks it is.

makes sense.. TAMU has a huge alumni base, and they are loyal in good and bad times..

UTx has a ton of wal-mart t-shirt fans..

Leave it to the Capstone report to take an article from 2006 about something as specific as bowl viewership and use is as evidence for something they want to believe. Those guys are VERY intellectually dishonest when it comes to their opinions and what they use as evidence. They are the kings of rationalization.

Make no mistake, UT is worth more than aTm in the TV world. arrakis had some articles the other day that spoke specifically to this point. I don't feel like looking them up.

That's based on viewership of bowl games. The simple fact that UT is more likely to be in a bigger bowl than A&M makes that useless. On the other hand I wouldn't mind taking a look at ratings of regular season games.

That would be good...
But on the subject of bowl games...what happens with all those Big XII games?

Texas without a doubt is the flagship big money school in the state of Texas. Still the same, Texas A&M would be a good fit in the SEC. I enjoyed it when we used to play them and they were good back then. A&M is an AAU school, although they are not as rich as Texas, who is when it comes to public schools. Bottom line, for more TV money and the ability for all SEC schools to recruit the state of Texas better, the SEC just needs one of the two and who cares which one is worth more because they both are good schools.
