A question for Mizzou fans re: your stadium

I know official capacity is 70k, but there is no way in hell it holds more than 62k or so and that may be generous. So my main question is WHY would the AD or whoever decide this was a good idea? It only makes your attendance look bad when looking at attendance figures. Your seemingly lackluster attendance was brought up several times here during expansion conversations. I know from watching a couple games that attendance appears to be pretty good, which is what makes it baffling.
Here is the conversation that prompted this thread.

How many times have you been there?

I'm still not seeing it, but whatever.

If you don't see more than 62k you need to stop evaluating stadiums.

Pictures don't do it justice.
When you're in the stands on a sold out night, you'll see just how loud and crowded it gets.
The hill actually holds a LOT of people, you just have to cram them in. It seasts more than 70,000 for sure, but it may not be as comfortable. And with the move to the SEC sparking more interest in the program, I think the 80,000 seat idea will turn out to be the right choice 10 years down the road.
And people who say our attendance and fanbase is pathetic for having such a good team, remember that only 8 years ago we were just beginning to see the light from the bottom of the basement.

Official Commonwealth Capacity is 67,606, but in 2007, 2008, and 2009 attendance was in the 70k's
If that's the case UK must be fudging some numbers too.

We use turnstiles, so not likely.

I have been to both and yes Mizzou can hold 70K+. And UK fans are the last people to be talking about other teams stadiums, trust me.

You should go over to the SECr where people are agreeing with me.
And Neyland is a shite hole. A big shite hole, but a shite hole no less.

You will learn loud if you go to the premier SEC teams stadiums.

How many of them have been to Faurot Field?
When was the last time you were at Neyland. Like I said don't throw stones when you live in a shack.

How about Tennessee and their 12-inch wide seats?
