The conditionals attached to Coach O worry me. I was under the impression that firing Les when we did was to make it crystal clear that we were going to hire a new coach. Yet, with all of the "Ifs" associated with Coach O I worry that we simply have the same problem that we had last year. If Les does this, then... If Coach O does this, then... How can any of the supposed major players for the position seriously consider a position that is Coach O's for the taking if...

Understanding the power of ego, I can't imagine Fisher or Herman willingly taking a back seat waiting to see what happens with Coach O. Especially Fisher, if we are to believe some of the stories about last year's process. I also worry about the administrative paralysis this could create...

I would add that I think O is a key piece of the chess game (if you will), but he is not the chess master.

Man this board is unbearable. You do realize both Herman and Fisher are coaching their own teams. When it comes time to put pen to paper the season will be over and a decision will be made on if we are keeping O or not.

I am certain feelers are already out to multiple coaches and we have a pretty good idea if either of these two would consider coming or not when the time came....however the time is not now.

Gave you a thumbs up. Most of the idiots in this forum thought Fisher or Herman were leaving their schools the day that Miles was terminated and would be at LSU for a press conference on Monday. We have three games to play, get through these games and see what direction we are going at that time.
