How did he get the shaft? All he had to do was present a plan for improvement on the future of the program to keep his job and he refused to do so. All he had to do was consider staff changes on the defensive side of the ball to keep his job. He refused to do so.

He could have kept his job.

What if a coach at LSU has a 4-7 season with a poor defensive performance and the coach is told he could keep his job if he presents a plan for improvement and refuses to consider making defensive staff changes? Would you think he got the shaft?
