Why would you rush the hire of Coach O? He would coach through the bowl game regardless most likely. That's what interim coaches do....
You could take your time and explore other options but, nah...
PLAIN AND SIMPLE, ALLEVA IS ARROGANT AND WANTED TO MAKE HIS HIRE BEFORE TEXAS HIRED HERMAN SO THAT IT CAN BE 'HIS CHOICE' INSTEAD OF LOSING OUT TO TEXAS.
He is the most narcissistic guy in the business. Ask anyone in the college athletic circle.
Right or wrong to hire Coach O, this is the exact reason for the timing.
