Tulane fans will be very excited!! I received some very crazy news from my friend(arse Ath dir @Tulane). There is alot of interest in this job that a couple of names would shock people. be patient... they are willing to pay 2-2.75 million/yr for a coach!! WOW!! Big 12 is also involved. Tulane will be accepted within two years-wants to show commitment with this hire and other upgrades(stadium,etc..)My friend has no clue I post here, so I will not divulge any specifics that could jeopardize his position.
That would all be awesome, but one thing doesn't add up: the OCS and the Big XII are conflicting goals. The Superdome is one of the selling points for the Big XII.

Superdome is there for big 12 championship games. Texas/Tulane games, etc...

Fox, I really cannot afford to get him(or me) in any kind of trouble. It was told to me in strict confidence and we share a few beers a couple of nights/week. He's very excited about Tulane's future and actually has turned me into a fan; IMHO,He should be first in line (AD) after Rick Dickson retires/leaves... I think the stadium issue was more to show that Tulane is committed to football long-term. Ok, probably need to shut my trap.

No, McFly should not be next in line. Tulane needs total overhaul up there.

They could, but then how do you justify the new Tulane Stadium? That means you build it for a few boring matchups a year and move the good games to the Dome.

Waiting tables, hopefully get an internship and do a public access show.

This is a result of Tulane wanting to have a coach in place by next Monday
Foolish on Tulane's part... why rush a decision?? Take your time and get a quality canidate. The last thing they need is another repeat of the last three years with Toledo.

If they take their time better jobs will open and the quality candidates won't be looking at Tulane.

I've spoken with a few people who work for Tulane, not high ups, but they do work there, and they said the stadium will be announced early dec. The stadium will be 30,000 with room for expansion up to about 50-60,000, so the stadium IS going to happen, and soon. As far as the coach goes, I'm hearing leach is a hot name, but that is just a guess....but Rick Dickson is a moron, so idk what to expect.

Rich Rod may have thought about the Tulane before the Zona job, but I just don't see any other big names considering Tulane. I hope I am wrong, because I really wish they could get the program back on their feet- I feel that way about all La. colleges...

I agree with you guys about "better jobs" then Tulane, but I promise you that Tulane will pay more then these so called "better jobs". And if money means anything, hopefully we hire someone with respect.
