No thanks on Petrino. Good coach, wouldn't have been the best hire.

Bill Walsh as OC
I gotta hand it to ya, that's some reality substitute considering Walsh passed away from leukemia a while back.

The deal was in place to bring Spurrier in. A BOS member told this to a friend of mine directly.

I agree, I think he would have gone back.

Why look thru the rear view mirror????
Most of these guys have spent a lot of their energy already.
I know you youngsters do not understand this, but take from someone older.....
the same level of energy, communication, etc is not going to be at its best. YES !, they have done it in the past...but the future may not bring the same....kinda like a player that has played in the NFL for 10 yrs and has done well..
he would be in the declining years.
I have a lot of energy for my age, run a couple of companies, promote some music events and even DJ every now and then BUT I can tell you, my DAY-to-DAY energy is not what it used to be.
I think we need to look at up-and-coming coaches.
THERE ARE SOME GOOD ONES...ALREADY doing VERY well.
Skip Holtz
Turner Gill
Chris Peterson
Gary Andersen
and there are others.
...just need to keep an open mind.

It would have been Rich Rod or Del Rio.
