LSU gave up 326 yards a game and 105 rushing yards a game this year, our worst D in 10 years, the reason were all on here tryng to fire our DCs, yet the guy your in love with did WORSE than that in the case you make for him.

Yep, because the talent level at the two schools are a great comparison. Tenuta usually had raw recruits that he had to coach up and put a good bit of them in the NFL because of that ability to coach. I'm sure Malleveto was sure on their way to doing this.
Also, I'm not sure how many more times I have to say this but you've supposedly have seen most their game... REGGIE frickING BALL was the quarterback. GTech's defense was always on the field. There was zero clock management from the offense. That will lead to more yardage being given up. Most people on Tenuta's wagon believe that with LSU's offensive balance and LSU's defensive recruits plus Tenuta's coaching and scheming will be very productive. Tenuta is a poor man's saban when it comes to blitz packages and I say that with all due respect because Saban's blitzes are head and shoulder's above any other coordinator. That's doesn't mean others suck...ala Muschamp. I think Tenuta would be lethal with LSU's players. The yelling and screaming would just be an added bonus.
ETA: I'll argue this guy all day but I have yet to see make any solid argument for someone else.

yes, here he'll have better talent on D, he'll also be facing better talent and better coordinators every week. its relative. there he took an ACC level D against an ACC level O, and gave up 330 yards a game.

No, it's not really. It would make more sense to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. Georgia Tech is similar to their conference the way Vandy is to the SEC. Grades restrict them very heavily. Georgia Tech, despite being hampered by this, was always competitive because of Georgia Tech's D.

Sometimes, I don't think the people who post on this board watch any football other than LSU games.
If you watched Ga Teach over the last few years (pre-2008) you would have seen a swarming, attack defense that saved their arse more times than not from a horrific offense.
There is a reason Miles was taking Tenuta with him to Michigan.

what? GaTech is not vandy, they have 4 national championships and 15 conference titles. I assure you none of that was because of tenuta.
