Arguably the most successful HC in TTU history is Miss. St.'s current HC. He did not play football in college. In fact, the first thing he did upon graduating college was enter law school to earn a JD. After law school he coached at tiny schools and even for a football team in Finland!!! He eventually began working with Hal Mumme and worked his way up the coaching ladder with Mumme. He was the OC at Kentucky and for one year at Oklahoma before getting the TTU job. I would say that is a bit of a non-traditional route to the HC job

Holcutt is just doing what the major boosters want. They got a guy who just gave the program $20 million. He's the one who wanted Wells gone.

Check out that podcast. First topic after CFB rankings. Sums it up well.

First, good luck on your coaching hire LSU, I've always liked your programs, especially baseball and track.

Now, you guys should google the Dunning-Kruger effect, as a lot of posts seem to fit that.

All I will add is that for most programs, CFB is cyclical and Tech is on the uphill trend again.
