Yeah, I know Bo had a reputation for that stuff but we'll see. He's probably 50 or so years old and I wonder why he hasn't gotten a head coaching job. That stuff may be true and have something to do with it. As far as why no one bothered to hire him away from Ga. Tech, it may have to do with his salary. He was getting paid around 400k/year.
If you look thru his coaching history, he's been around alot. And alot of 1 and 2 year stints in some places.
I feel that if Les doesn't hire him, all of that is why. And you can't blame him for not hiring someone who he felt may fracture harmony on his staff, if that's one of the reasons for not hiring him.

I would love to see Brent Venables here. He knows by now he will never win a national title (or BCS game) at OU

Man Peveto invented the "Purple Swarm" at NSU.
Man he had a D there. Lot a difference in NSU and LSU Football though. Peveto is a good person and Les likes the guy I don't know what he will have peveto doing next year but he will damn sure have a job at LSU as long as Miles is here.

I've heard from a number of people that Pelini prefers to have his assistants do the recruiting visits for him mainly because of the second part.
Pelini has interviewed for jobs before he got the Nebraska job. The reason he didn't get any of them was he doesn't have the charisma and personal force that carry a candidate through an interview. Remember there was plenty of talk that Pelini fricked up the Nebraska interview
