I don't know how all of that works. Is it just a courtesy, or is there some kind of "contractual" issue with speaking to the administration of another university? I see them ask all the time, but never knew whether this was a "requirement" or not....

He's not talking this week. From ESPN:

Bertman requested that the meeting not take place until after LSU plays Tennessee Saturday for the SEC championship. Martin told Bertman he will comply.

Damge to the psyche of the players is done, who cares when the meeting takes place. This is a done deal I am convinced now, he is gone.

Nothing. Miles contract only says that he has to give notice to the AD if he's going to talk to anyone about another job.

It's just a courtesy between the schools to prevent acrimony.
