At first I thought hell no.

But I just went back and looked. He has fielded an S&P top 20 defense everywhere he has gone, every single year except two I think. This goes all the way back to 2009, and this includes much less talented places like Louisville and Moo State.

His track record is undeniable.

He is a helluva DC. An a-hole yes but can coach D.

I would definitely consider him if was in Coach O shoes. I'd look in to Strong, Grantham, Bielema, and even Derek Mason(he will be fired at Vanderbilt next year anyways).

I'm not too keen on all these young guy DC..in way less competition conferences. Grantham has fielded a top 20 defense slot against some really good competition.

Not a huge fan of him. He's probably felt like he's done all he can at a second tier SEC school though.
