Well, no doubt that is what has gotten us in trouble, and I honestly don't know if some of the big-money asses will get out of the way and let our new AD work. These continued struggles may be enough to cost us the coach we need this time around. Who knows.
The one thing I believe is that we can be amongst the SEC elite. If I didn't think so, I wouldn't waste my time. We are a whole lot closer to being an Bama or Aubie than we are to being an Old Mrs.
I don't have rose-colored glasses, but it certainly helps to have a 2nd team(LSU for me) that I like to root for also.

I Disagree I think Arkansas and Ole Miss are about to swap positions in the SEC. Mcfadden and Jones seem to hard to replace.

Anyway, for those who think AR was lucky to have Nutt and that AR will go straight to the celler, time will tell.
I will tell you that Nutt left the cupboard a little better than bare.
AR had more talent when Nutt got here than when he left. (Comparing the 1998 and 2008 teams).

We will keep him healthy. We need him out there to piss you guys off a little bit. The cigar smoking and stomping on the eye was getting stale and the ref thing kinda evened out a little this year so we had to come up with something.

Ok, the guy who first said Bowden is going to Arkansas is now saying it's a done deal and it should be announced very soon.
He went on to say that Clemson had until 11 P.M. to pony up and they did not. He also said he will not coach them in the bowl game, and that Clemon will try and make a run at Bobby Johnson.
This is the same source that I mentioned in my original post on this thread. Like I said, I don't know him and how much he knows, so don't flame me too much if he's wrong.

That would be a step down in my opinion. why would Arkansas want him? Nutt is a better coach than TB any day in my opinion. They made a mistake getting ridd of Nutt and it is going to come back to haunt them. If they can gets Tubby they need to step up the cash and get r done.

Ummm... not sure. I'm willing to give him a chance. He offers the balance everyone has been screaming for so they better shut their mouths. They asked for it, right?
It still has to come to a vote and be approved by the board which there ARE some unhappy BOT members so we will see.

Bowden to Arkansas is great for LSU...he'll keep them mediocre in the West with an occasional charge every few years. I've been waiting for him to be fired from Clemson for the past 4-5 years but he kept on beating FSU. Then everyone realized that FSU is just a shadow of who they were in the '90s.

Like I said earlier, I think Bowden is Houston Nutt without the baggage. I'd be pretty pissed if I were an Arkansas fan.

What balance? He's been on the hot seat almost every year at Clemson. I also don't see him being an upgrade from Nutt. It sounds like Arkansas had the normal delusions of grandeur and forced Nutt out with the EXPECTATION that coaches like Tubberville would be beating the door down. I suspect they offered Butch Davis the job and he turned them down in favor of NORTH CAROLINA. I think Bowden is on the run like Nutt to be honest! You would probably be better off with his brother Tater tot.
