Tommy woudlnt like more than to bolt from Clemson especially if he gets a 10 win season. Terry has been wanting to get back into coaching.

Should these two be considered? Is one of them just waiting for daddy to step down?

You don't hire someone because of a last name.

Fair amount of success? Are you kidding? They both have sucked.

Once again, you don't hire someone because of their last name.

If you think Terry is so great, then why do you think he has been sitting on his arse for the past 9 years?

Tommy Bowden's been on the hot seat at Clemson since he's been there. He's the John Brady of college football. Eeks out that one win against a ranked opponent a year to keep him from the chopping block.

I think Tommy's a fairly good football coach, and I think in a different situation he could succeed.

maybe because Clemson's fanbase may just be the only fanbase in the country less realistic than the LSU fanbase? Of course I dont think Tommy is or should be LSU's first choice, I was just posing the question of whether or not he's at least worth taking a look at.

Diehard though seems to think Terry was just chopped liver while he was at Auburn...

no, bobby....but we do have this new-fangled board here, and its the best of two evils when compared to the Rant(ard). A couple of hypothetical threads cant hurt in the face of what may happen.

No, I'm suggesting that there might be a reason why no one has offered him a job in the last 10 years.

they're not 'football' related reasons. You've been implying that somehow they're bad coaches...Terry's had a nice time being a tv analyst for a while now, and its now quite obvious that he has the 'itch' to coach again.
