Bring in whoever you want, the offense will still suck with Jefferson at QB.

I believe it. All the signs point to GC leaving either by choice or force. He'll end up in the NFL or a lesser program as an OC or positon coach.

5 and 4 loss teams aren't elite

over a 2 year period it isn't that big of a deal when you've won 3 conference titles, 4 BCS games and 2 MNC's in the decade. The program is still highly ranked in recruiting and will have probably 80% of it's games broadcast to the entire country on a major network next year. It's still elite at this moment in time.

I would say that we have gained the reputation of an elite program in decline. The major football talking heads haven't really given us the same respect the last 2 years. When they're making jokes about your head coach, that's a bad sign. 9 losses over 2 seasons surely isn't elite. The flip side is that because we have been elite not that long ago, it is much easier to reverse and get back in the mix of that conversation. Next year is huge though. Another 4 or 5 loss season and the reputation rounds the corner even more towards mediocrity.

knowing lsu's bullshite, he is wrong, they will most likely promote BG and then Leslie will find someone to take wideout position job, just boggles me why we rush into hiring so fast instead of looking whats out there! BG can interview for the job, just cause your OC gets fired doesn't mean you deserve the promotion, yet.

Um ever think that maybe BG was hired actually for the oc job? and the only reason he left fla. for lsu was for the upgrade from wr coach to oc? maybe they did search and decided he did deserve the promotion and thats why they hired him--they didnt hire a wr coach then change his title 2 weeks later--they hired a oc

Why do you think this?

You think Jefferson is inept because of Crowton's play calling? Have anyone of you geniuses ever thought that Crowton's play calling is due the fact Jefferson can't execute the plays, which restricts the playbook. Hell he can't even run a proper option. I didn't see any play calling problems with Flynn at QB. But what do I know? Right? It's not like Crowton had anything to do with the best offense the school has ever had. The quickest way to a title is a good QB and LSU doesn't have that right now.

Although the play calling has been horrid this year you have two outstanding points in bold...

i guess jarret lee did not know the playbook either, but if you are an offensive genius it doesn't matter if you cannot teach your players the system
