purdue rivals board has info if anyone cares. looks like it was a shady behind closed doors deal that tiller wasnt aware of. they want to bring in someone for next year who will eventually take over but tiller may want to just quit if thas the case. seems purdue wants to make change for the sake of making it, paul chryst, the OC at wisconsin is the top choice

Never heard anything bad about Tiller. Maybe he can land in the BE or CUSA.

they never have a good defense and from what i've read and heard they never took that "next step" but i mean its purdue, they have lousy facilities and aren't really committed to football. i thought tiller did a solid job over there

I posted that he might be fired on the MSB after Purdue lost to IU. Purdue fans are tired of him. I cant blame them. They beat up on cupcakes and dont show up vs OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Wiscosin, etc.

Damn True Grit...
I know a few of the bigger names of the B10 been down, but beating em on a regular basis is no small task when at a school like Purdue.
Would you wanna fight the SEC with their talent? In 30 yrs I have never seen em have continued success...once in a while yes...ongoing no.
OSU and my Wolverines been on top since I started watching in 77. Wisconsin and Iowa have always been thorns that show up here and there in seasons. Then we went and added PSU. You throw in Sparty usually does half way decent and that makes for a tough run to begin with for a team like Purdue.
Now Illinois is on the climb...NW had a run a while back, same as Minny. I dont ever recall Indy though heh.
Seriously it isnt like the B10 is as weak as folks wanna make it seem....especially when you are in the lower tier.
The main thing to me is that I never heard of him having trouble with players. A clean program with limited success isnt all bad in my book for Purdue. More than that is a pipe dream.
Would you wanna play for a team that folks could claim you got the "train" slapped on your arse? I know I wouldnt

Im not saying Purdue should beat them on a regular basis. But Purdue doesnt even show up when they play those teams. The only reason they have been bowl eligible the past few years is because they play like Ball STate, Directional Michigan, Indiana State, etc.
Purdue fans at least want to be competitive vs the bigger Big Ten teams and they havent been.

Aye I agree they should maybe win a few more...
But there are times that even though we have won, I know they fought us tooth and nail. If they would of had our depth it could of been very interesting.

Considering where he is at, I think Joe Tiller is one of the best coaches in the game
