This feels like a smokescreen and/or dysfunction

We all know O has made public statements about wanting a spread/dual threat QB, and also has made his “USC South”/pro-style statements. So none of us really know exactly what his philosophy is or if he has a philosophy.
Recently, O was in Texas recruiting the hell out of Grant Gunnell...the top pro-style QB in the 2019 class. According to reports, Gunnell is on the fence about sticking with A&M because Fisher seems highly focused on dual threat QBs...Gunnell originally committed to Sumlin. Why would O be recruiting a pro style QB if his intent is to hire a power spread OC?
So one of three things are going on with this alleged OC search...
1. O has no idea what his offensive philosophy is still
2. O is going hire a new “name OC”, but couple him to Ensminger with a co-OC title thus allowing O a behind the scenes way of torpedoing what the new guy wants to do (such as run power spread, up tempo)
3. This search is all a smokescreen to appease the fans and his full intent all along was to promote his boy Ensminger
Needless to say, I have no confidence that this turns out well with this screwed up, leadership/coaching model that we have.

Trying to use logic to figure out what this organization is doing is probably a bad idea

His first highlight on Hudl is a 60 yard run
As long as a guy isn't a statue in the pocket he can run just about any offense imo.
Gunnel for example ran for 390 yards and 8 TDs as a junior.

With O and his boys, I would lean towards dysfunction.

one must have facts to use logic. we have no facts; ergo, no logic.
we have some that come across as having snippets of facts based on "a source" and many that grasp at any information, right or wrong.
we're just gonna have to wait until LSU makes an announcement.

It appears LSU tight ends coach and veteran offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger may replace Matt Canada as LSU's offensive coordinator soon after the Tigers' Citrus Bowl game against Notre Dame on Jan. 1, according to contacts at LSU.
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron and Canada, whom Orgeron hired after the 2016 regular season from Pittsburgh, have not completely "mended" fences, and Orgeron has been leaning toward Ensminger for several weeks.

"We've had that discussion about simplifying things," Orgeron said on Sept. 25 — the Monday before the Troy game. "And we're going to. We're going to streamline what we're doing. Do what our players can do best: play LSU football." Later in the 2017 season, Canada could be heard by players at practice saying, "It's not my offense.

Man, your degree of apathy is overwhelming. I personally think this turn out well like locking up Aranda (for nw) did. My gut tells me it is Gilbert which is an offshoot of Art Briles system which I like.

It's tough to keep up.
The new "line" is this Gilbert guy with Stevie E as Co-O.
Gilbert's fast pace offense with Steve E calling plays and Ed O adding his thoughts to the mix.
Making sure I've got it.
Sounds more like this:
