HeadSlash, why would LSU supporters pay Miles 1.25 buyout????????
I thought it was crazy when I heard it myself. The money guys think that Les has underachieved considering the talent he had to work with and they don't think he can get over the hump.

Your first thought was correct- It is crazy.
You just don't offer him a new contract and let him go to Michigan.

I have a feeling that if we win on Saturday, and Les leaves, we will not push the issue of enforcing the buyout clause.
Michigan will be willing to pay it and we love to nickel and dime over things in negotiations for new coaches. No chance we turn down 1.25 mil.

So its going to cost Michigan 2.75 million before Les has his first game.
Chump Change for a school like Michigan...

Better questions are how much will it cost him to go back home?
If LSU puts a 3 million dollar offer on the table, throw in the 1.25 buyout.
1) How much will, not can, Michigan offer him?
2) Will he take a 2 million dollar 'pay cut' in year one? That is assumming he gets double what Carr made this year.

That doesn't make any sense. Are you being sarcastic? I say make him pay because we'll have to pony up to pay for the next one.

I think you guys are off your rockers. Michigan will let Miles pick his staff, and they will pay for a new staff. If they're so cheap, they wouldn't have given the staff the extra year. Everyone in Michigan knew this year was going to be it for Carr. They didn;t have to pay these guys, but they did.
It's a new day for Michigan Football, ladies. Money is no object. The stadium is being renovated for 230 MILLION, and Les Miles is comin' home.
