Tennessee Defensive talent versus LSU's

Given that everyone has been clamoring on about how Chavis will have more talent to work with at LSU, This is not exaclty true. Below is a table of recruiting from 2002 thru 2008 for each of the three defensive divisions between Tennesee and LSU. Make your own conclusions.
For me, it seems that there is almost no difference in the overall talent. Maybe a slight edge in DL for LSU, but nothing significant. A huge edge in linebackers for Tennessee, and about even in the DB department. This does not mean that Chavis won't do better at LSU than his past 7 years at Tennessee (overall much worse than LSU, even compared to this season), but it does show that talent wasn't the main issue.

The question then becomes how many of those recruits actually ended up hitting the field for Tennessee....
Without being able to say definitively, I feel pretty strongly that a lot of recruits, really good ones, never made it into the program...

Tenn is no different from FSU and Miami. A good consistent QB away from being a really good team. If you think they don't have talent, you are crazy.

They have talent.
But the question is... how much?
