He said before that he counts suburbs of major metro areas as rural towns also. So basically unless you're from inner city Houston or Dallas you grew up in the country, and pretty much every kid at every university in America grew up in the country.

I love this reference. You realize LSU was founded as a land grant university right? LSU has a corps of cadets. Ole war skule maybe? 300 cadets? The only reason LSU has a smaller corps is because you guys crapped out after vietnam and caved to media pressure.

I would think that most schools in the SEC, being from states with a history of overt racism, would be less color sensitive than other schools in the country. See how I can also make blanket statements with zero substance behind them?

truth be told, A&M is one of the more friendlier Universities out there regardless of race.

I went to undergrad at A&M, grad school at Ohio State and have spent countless hours on college campuses, and the south is more accepting of color than anywhere else. I think it has to do with the way we all were raised.
