SI Rumor if dominos fell towards SD State

A few dominoes would have to fall, but if Brady Hoke winds up at Michigan, a former NFL head coach may be on the short list for Aztecs AD Jim Sterk: Herman Edwards. Sterk isn't about to say "A San Diego State man will coach San Diego State," but Edwards is an alum who played cornerback for Claude Gilbert and then 10 seasons in the NFL. Edwards, no shrinking violet, was head coach of the Jets for five years (2-3 in the playoffs) and Chiefs (playoff record 0-1). Experience is there, all right. And rumor has it the current ESPN analyst would take the job.
