Weis knew what he was doing and set the contract at professional football levels plus it afforded both sides a comfort zone. Meaning both ND and Charlie were seriously committed for a while. Weis felt he needed this after the Ty Willingham debacle!

Now as regards Nick Saban I suspect he would enjoy N.D. and who would not? It is close to semi pro in recruiting and they do not endure the likes of these seedy cheats such as Auburn to name but one. N.D. has the luxury to choose who it will play, when and where. ND which started very poor and very small is now a power and number one financially according to Forbes Magazine. The University of Notre Dame is not lead around by the nose and no one better chop block their first round heisman candidates if they know whats good for them!

No one here who knows the Irish doubts for a minute that N.D., if the choose to do so, will buy Weis out.
