Lincoln Riley coming to LSU is like flying an H-4 Hercules filled to brim with nukes and explosives directly into the mouth of dormant, bubbling volcano. His presence will reignite, revamp, and re-electrify this program and the recruiting front quicker than Coach O can snort a line of fricking All Purpose Flour. It'll be similar to a lightning strike fricking blowing up a tree.

In all seriousness. The ink dries for this dude and we will see a quicker turnaround than expected, right? LSU will be the hottest name on the fricking map for every offensive player in the country.

WHO would not want to come play for the fricking purple and gold bengal tigers with the most raucous, passionate fanbase in the country. the whole program just itching for success and electricity after 2 awful years with this autistic ogre.

with LINCOLN RILEY at the helm. I sign my soul over. A natty within 3.

Just imagine if LSU even kinda returns to its previous defensive culture and prowess and mindset. With the offensive talent Lincoln will automatically funnel in. mmmmm

We've never hired an offensive guru as LSU's head coach. Never once in the history of the program.

We've also never hired a coach who'd taken a team to a Top 5 finish, much less a national championship playoff appearance.

Other than one year that Les Miles won Big 12 coach of the year, we've never hired a coach who won a conference coach of the year award.

When you compare this hire, if it's Riley - hell, if it's any of the other names being talked about most of this still applies - to the last 40 years of them, it's such a massive step up in qualifications from what we're used to it's not even funny.

With the possible exception of Saban. But even then, Saban was not a big name when he was hired. He became a big name at LSU. Everybody else we've hired thought they must have hit the Powerball to get the LSU job based on their qualifications.
