I have no reason to believe he can’t; Tucker was with Smart for 3 years on the ground floor when they took over and rebuilt UGA after Richt.

Could Kirby have done that without Tucker? Maybe? Maybe not?

Why is this a con? Tony Dungy is a HOF coach and wasn’t considered “intense” Just because he’s calm and even on the sideline during games doesn’t mean he’s whipping arse all week.

I’m actually a Tampa Bay fan so I get the Dungy reference. Dungy was blessed with very vocal leaders in Tampa Bay and Indy. With Tampa, he had Sapp, Brooks, and Lynch. With Indy he had Sanders, Manning, Freeney.

In College your going to to have to consistently motivate players on and off the field. I actually think this aspect was holding Aranda back as an on field coach. When you look at guys like Saban, Kirby, and to a lesser degree Muschamp they coach with fire that drives players.
