In his post-game TV interview, he gave credit to his co-DCs for the work they did in planning and prepping the D for this game. A little thing but classy.

Les is a classy guy and that's why a lot of coaches like Chavis, Crowton, Pellini and the new staff want to work for him. He's got their back. By the way, Malaveto did a great job tonight.

props for malaveto for finishing their job here and having the defense prepared. They easily could have coached with 1 foot out the door.

In my opinion, no... the decisions about this year's staff have been made.

Perhaps the special teams coach - Robinson. I think the staff decisions / priorities for 2009 are pretty well set.

i was surprised when someone posted the special teams stats under Robinson. the lack of TDs was the only thing i ever noticed, but they really did get better under him other than that. i wouldnt be surprised if last nights turn of events saved his job.

As many times as I have ragged on them and him this season for not preparing or working the team hard enough, I agree they did a really good job of getting the team ready. I gotta say I think the team showed a much better attitude and worked harder in this game than in most of the season (except vs Alabama). I give Malveto and the LSU "D" a parting "A" grade for this game. The only other "A" I could give this whole season was versus Alabama, even though LSU lost that one.

I wish the Malveto twins and any other departing LSU coaches all the best in future endeavors, but warn them: from now on they are "Tiger Bait!"
