Programs like OSU, Michigan, and Bama value winning above all else.

They know the monetary costs in not having a proven winner. Bama severely overpaid for Saban. OSU paid a premium for Meyer. Michigan got raped by Harbaugh.

But you know what? They knew the value and importance of winning at all costs.

At LSU we've accepted mediocrity since Les was hired. We were sold that 10 win seasons out of 13 games was great. Now we've taken the path of Texas and USC and now 10 win seasons are a rarity.

Now the unthinkable has happened. A coach that was a total flop in the sec is now the coach of LSU because he talks like us. LSU brass didn't see the value of an elite head coach over the cost savings in an average one.

Where would bama be if it accepted a no from saban? Where would Michigan be if they didn't get raped by Harbaugh? Where would OSU be if they didnt meet all of Meyer's weird demands? Sadly they'd be us.

This is not even gettin into the total wasting of an NFL laden roster by not doing this last season.

Alleva and the President need to be fired. They are mediocre at best. Mediocrity has to be purged from the campus like a bad virus.
