For years SU would get players from LSU, Michael Haynes, Jermaine Sharp, to name a few. Anyone remember the kid from S. Lab that signed with Mike Gottfried at Pitt. He returned to finish up at SU. He was later killed by his GF.

Transfered to US, was the MVP of the Bayou Classic. Then was out of school. So much talent. The kid could turn on a dime and give you change. Remember at OC he ended up with 99 Td's. He avg. 16.3 yards/ carry. Ran track for two years, and never lost in the 100 or 200 meters.
Just a little info I know.
Came to LSU after the Fab-5.

I followed him a tad, because of geography.. But, for whatever reason that I can't remember, he just seemed to fall off the radar.. Incredible talent.

He was one that could have been playing on Sundays. Such a waste. You see it all the time.

you said "out of school"... Do you know what happened, I don't, or at least don't remember... grades, injury, ??? I always saw him as a NFL flanker, slot back, etc. et.

Grades if I remember right. Might have been team rules, which could be grades, among other things.
That 1993 recruiting class had some great players in it.

What joke?
Please tell me you're joking...I'm tired and my sarcasm meter is a little off today.

He did tell the story to the new kids. Joke or not?

Heard Shaw's coach is on their short list.

I remember him as AD in San Marcos, many of his staff would come into the bar and say how much they hated working for him and the word "incompetent" was thrown around alot
plus, his wife was a very, very bitter woman

At OCS, he was uncatchable, and the fact that he had tiny hands was never really an issue. When he got to LSU, defenders were actually able to touch him, he started having problems holding on to the ball, and Kevin Faulk arrived on campus. Then, he transferred to SU, played for a while, and eventually got tired of it all. He had no serious injuries and no criminal issues worth mentioning. After leaving Southern, He was a manager at the Guide Plant in Monroe for years....not sure what he does now.

He was trying to kill her and it was ruled self defense. He used to come in store where I worked, and seemed to be a pretty nice guy. I think he got mixed up w/the wrong people and his life took a downward spiral.
