Texas Tech fans are going to be pissed in time with this hire. I'll be shocked if he keeps any coaches from the offensive side of the football. Texas Tech runs the exact same offense as Tony Franklin does so when Tubby finds this out he won't keep any of them because he is an idiot when it comes to offensive football. The smartest move he could make would be to keep them all and hire his own defensive staff. With his solid defensive background and their offense it could be a great mix in Lubbock but it won't happen. They should have gone with Ruffen and kept the freight train going.

Keeping part of the staff so that those who could hurt Tech's case against Leach are still employed...
I look for Tech to struggle in the next year or two and then Tuberville will dump all the staff for guys he wants.
IMO its vital for Tubs to keep the spread offense. You can't recruit to LBK so you have to have a system where the less athletic can still excell

im surprised florida state or miami didnt turn to him.... he is one of the few who can beat florida consistantly.... doesnt make sense for him to go to texas tech, im glad he isnt in the sec anymore. guy gets the most out of his talent... i was predicting that he would wait around for richt and uga to part ways and take over in athens

Tubby looking at X-LSU player Steve Ensminger to help with the offensive side of the ball. Steve has been around, West Monroe, Auburn, and a few more. He also spent a little time with R. C. Slocum.
