You are being ridiculous. I never said OM never won an SEC championship. I asked when they won their last one(1963). You wouldn't answer that question. I asked when was the last time an OM coach left for a promotion. Still, crickets. I don't see how any holes have been poked in my argument. The facts are exactly what they seem. Ole Miss is not a good job for an up and comer looking for advancement. He won't win anything. You know it, I know it. Good luck beating LSU and BAMA, and winning the SECCG with Freeze.

Didn't follow the coaching search that closely. Who else was strongly considered? Fedora? Anyone else?

To me, Freeze appears a bit unproven. Somewhat comparable to UT's hire of Dooley. An overall risky hire IMO.

agree. But the guy has won big immediately at both his HC gigs.


Him and Hudspeth have just about the same resumes. I'll admit the biggest question is whether or not he's ready for a big time gig.

This is how I see it. It's nothing against Freeze. But it is a shitty hire for the university. The fanbase is pretty much dead at this point. This hire will only divide it more than what it already is. We needed a good name that would pick this fanbase up and bring some excitement back to Oxford. It is a bad risk we are taking. Freeze won't be well accepted in Oxford and if falls on his face and drags us deeper into the hole...we may not be be able to recover at that point. Just my opinion though.

It's shitty because Ole Miss had 4 weeks where they could have gotten somebody bigger. I still believe Pete Boone had something to do with this (behind closed doors) This was probably a hire that happened right after the firing of Nutt and we were just waiting on Freeze to finish to make the announcement. But once again, that is just my opinion.
