According to some around here, any idiot can coach the talent we have, so why would we need a big name coach?

The word is that deal is done! Miles will leave for Michigan and the Ole Ball Coach will replace him at the Ole War Skule!!! That's right ...I was told by reliable sources that Spurrier and LSU are waiting for Les to "officially" announce himself leaving for Michigan and then LSU will announce that Spurrier will be the coach as the highest paid coach in NCAA History!!!! Any thoughts?
Although on its face, this is complete lunacy, one has to consider the way South Carolina has completely crashed and burned the last half of this season with 5 straight losses. Reminds one of what happened with Okey State in the Alamo Bowl while LSU was courting Les behind closed doors.

The man is right. LSU powers that be have known since the day that Michigan lost to App. State that Carr would be replaced. LSU officals have been in contact with Michigan officials since that time and have known that Miles may go to his Dear Michigan. LSU has been in talks for several weeks with other coaches. #1 on the list was Rich Rodrigues an # 2 was Spurrier. I guess Rich told them he was not interested.

Ole Ball Coach.....Rumor or Delayed Truth?
The only way I believe this is if LSU throws in a full yr pass to play golf at the LSU golf course.
Hmmmmm.Live in Columbia, play every weekend at Augusta National vs. live in BR, play every weekend at the LSU golf course. Tough one......

Are you calling Les dumber than an idiot? He has the talent and yet we've lost the #1 spot twice and a chance to play in the MNC.

what i find amazing is that someone on this board would know this and break this story over someone from say ESPN or Fox sports, CBS Sports..etc...It may hapen but i'll say this unless Miles, Spurrier, Skip or someone in the LSU, Michigan or SC AD post here no one can say for sure.
