Yeah, a bit premature there given the performance on the field...

What's that phrase all the kids are using these days - Don't hate the player hate the game?

Weiss sold ND a bill of goods and leveraged his "schematic advantage" to a huge contract extension. Brilliant execution, although I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he genuinely did want to stay and help the alma mater.

Of course, he went and got a Clausen, which as our Tenn friends will probably attest is the death of any legitimate shot at a respectable season...

Don't be surprised if Emmert with Washington makes a phone call to his old buddy Nick. Washington's football team is really sucking bad and Emmert was instrumental in getting Saban to Baton Rouge. Could be interesting for the PAC 10 to have another team besides USC to be a contender. PAC 10 doesn't seem to be a dominating conference.
