Probably would have been a good idea to leave the part out about Jacobs if you all somehow think he was surreptitiously lobbying for the job while not offending his UT bosses.

This is exactly correct. A persons word in the Business of College Football is not worth the paper that Coaches write it on. (At least Sexton's Clients Anyway). But who is worse? The coach or the acedemic institution that approaches these guys already undercontract. However, I dont think anyone on the planet would fault anyone who is taking a job that is perceivably a move up. DC to HC is a move up.

IMHO
I would not paint all coaches with such a wide brush.
