He played in the NFL for a few years and may be a work in progress. I didn't think our lines looked particularly well coached under him -- but that could have also just been our overall offense in general was bad so it's tough to evaluate.

He is one of the coaches we wanted to get rid of though (if Moorhead had stayed and had to make staff changes). He's supposedly a good recruiter.

Thank you for your feedback. I think getting a good recruiter who knows the SEC west and their defense. That should help Drinkwitz a lot.

It’s a good scheme match with Drink and if he’s viewed as a good recruiter that’s a plus. Didn’t know much about him, but your rushing offense has been really good the past two years

You're welcome. It is a bit tough to evaluate him as our offense looked good against bad teams and terrible against any team with a decent defense. Also, our strength and conditioning dropped and that hits OL pretty hard.

I do think he has potential, not sure if he was a great fit with Moorhead. I think he's still working his way up the ranks. I think he was at Duke with Cutcliffe for a year or two before joining us, so had some good references.

Do not forget your team had players sit out for the punishment and that hurt with continuity on the line. Key players also sat out and that threw players off a bit. If your team didn't have the punishment would have won a game or two more. Then you might not have fired your head coach. So this was a blessing! Good luck you your team and enjoy having your new head coach. Your team will be fun to watch with your new head coach.
